Sacred Heart Movement: Winter Wisdom Flow with Shannon Jones

Experience the integrative qualities of winter, tapping into the wisdom of our higher selves through this creative movement infusion.  Graced with yoga, dance, gyrotonics, plant and animal affectations, thai chi, sensory awareness and journaling exercises, Sacred Heart Movement therapy grounds our spirits and opens our hearts so we can fly!  This easy to follow movement sequence encourages right/left brain balance for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual freedom of the mind, body and spirit.  Explore chakra balancing, medicine wheel wisdom and how the earth and sky influence our inner most beings to orient us towards the natural rhythms of the winter months.  All levels and abilities are welcome to join.  Class is limited to 12 participants, so sign up early!  Bring water and a journal.
About Shannon:
While searching for a holistic alternative to heal anxiety and depression—a family inheritance—Shannon happened upon yoga. Within 3 weeks of everyday practice, the anxiety was absent and the depression diminished. For Shannon, yoga represents the inhalations and exhalations of her daily actions, thoughts and words, and a path to balance the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual realms of living.Shannon leads heart-centered classes, based upon the rhythms of nature, with the influence of Ana Forrest, Ashtanga, Restorative, and Hatha yogic traditions. Her students can expect to learn something about their own bodies in each class, developing a sense of internal awareness to create balance, strength, and fluidity. Each class embodies fluid, creative warm-up movements, strength training through held postures, and techniques for sensory awareness and relaxation.
