We invite you to join Zen Buddhist and certified meditation teacher Billy Wynne for a half-day Zen meditation retreat, known as Zazenkai. Literally translated as “to come together for meditation,” Zazenkai offers a rare opportunity for deep immersion in silence and stillness that can be illuminating, rejuvenating, and transformative.
The program will include traditional Zen elements and adaptive techniques to provide personalized support for your experience. Every aspect of Zazenkai is honed to support the calming of your body and awakening of your mind.
The program will include:
Several rounds of silent, seated meditation
Kinhin, or walking meditation
Opening and closing recitation rituals in the Zen tradition
Encouragement talk referencing classical Zen texts
A silent break for a mid-morning snack
While all are welcome, participants should have prior meditation experience and the ability to sit relatively still and maintain noble silence for extended periods of time. Anyone who is interested in participating but unsure if you are prepared is heartily invited to contact the facilitator to discuss: Billy Wynne - billy@billywynne.com
Registration required.
A suggested donation of $40–$60 helps cover program costs.
