Jessica Lockwood is an author and surgical nurse based in Colorado’s stunning San Juan and Elk Mountains. After the devastating loss of her husband, Chason Russell, to the rapids of the Crystal River just eight days into their marriage, Jessica turned to writing as a way to process her grief and rediscover herself. Her heartfelt storytelling reflects her journey of healing and self-discovery. When not writing or caring for patients, Jessica embraces the outdoors, finding solace in skiing, biking, and paddling rivers. She also enjoys cultivating her own vegetable and flower gardens, and advocating for mental health in the mountains.

Gary Gleason is a writer, photographer, musician, entrepreneur and proud co-author of “Meeting Your Magnificence: 111 Ways to Live from Your Higher Self". The visually stunning spiritual coffee table book features Gleason’s intimate floral photography with the channeled wisdom of Carolyn Golbus, MhD. Golbus died following a freak accident just days after the couple had signed off on final edits with Brown Books Publishing, casting Gleason on an unexpected path of grief, recovery, and deeper spiritual awakening. A 1986 graduate of the University of Colorado, and a 2008 Fulbright Scholar, Gleason is currently pursuing his Masters in Metaphysical Healing from Delphi University of Spiritual Studies in McCaysville, Georgia. A lifelong resident of Aspen, Colorado, he adores the raw beauty rivers, mountains and oceans and is proud of his roles as ski guide, river guide, and steersman (ho’okele) of Hawaiian outrigger canoes.
