The Living Language of Reciprocity

Gather, connect, and learn from Ximena, a Pampamisayoq of the Q’ero lineage of the Andes of Peru.

Ximena is a bridge woman, mother of four, grandmother, co-founder of Casa del Sol Retreat Center, and a guardian of the native forest in the mountains of Vilcabamba, in the Valley of Longevity in southern Ecuador. For many years she has shared ancestral traditions rooted in the wisdom of the Andes, accompanying others through ceremony, prayer, reciprocity, and a deep relationship with the living world.

Andean Cosmovision & Reciprocity

In the Andean tradition, reciprocity is considered the fundamental principle for everything to flow from a place of well-being.

It is a form of language that expresses recognition of the greater forces that sustain our existence, and likewise a way of “praying a request,” but with an open hand, also offering in return a gesture filled with good feeling.

The teachers say that we walk an “enamored” path; likewise, the Andean offering is filled with all the sweetness that one expresses in love.

It is the traditional way in which the guardians of the altars care for the balance of the community and the territory, continually feeding the energies that are sustaining life.

This gathering is an invitation to share in the precious relationship between the guardians of the High Andes and the mountains, and to learn how to make a traditional Andean offering.

In the prophecy of the Eagle and the Condor, it speaks precisely of this reciprocity and complementarity between both hearts.

The winds of the South arrive to awaken a memory that, in some places, has been forgotten.

No previous experience with Andean traditions is necessary. All who feel called to receive these teachings with openness and respect are welcome.

PRICING

This is a high-caliber experience, and each ticket tier is made possible by the deep generosity of our co-founders, donors, facilitators and the broader community that sustains the Connection is the Medicine Foundation.

We offer tiered pricing because we believe in both the value of this work and the importance of access. We ask that you choose the rate that honestly reflects your financial reality.

Generosity Rate: $108

This experience is made possible through a web of generosity. When you choose the Generosity Rate, you become part of that web. Your contribution helps ensure that cost is never the reason someone misses an experience that could change them, and it honors the true value of what our facilitators so lovingly create. Pay it forward, and you're helping to hold a seat open for someone who couldn't otherwise be here.

This rate may be right for you if you:

- Own your home and live without financial worry

- Have investments, savings, or a financial safety net

- Can easily access funds in times of need

- Are moved to make this experience more accessible for others

Your contribution directly honors the true depth of care, skill, and intention our facilitators bring to every offering, and makes broader community access possible.

Standard Rate: $62

Our standard rate is made possible by the ongoing generosity of our co-founders and donors. It reflects our commitment to making these experiences accessible while honoring the true value of what our facilitators bring.

Community Rate: $48

This reduced rate is made possible by the generosity of our community, our facilitators, and the Connection is the Medicine Foundation, in shared service of broader access and the spirit of care that lives at the heart of this work.

This rate may be right for you if you:

 - Struggle to meet your basic financial needs

- Are facing housing, employment, or income instability
